What’s included in The Renaissance Day™?
Each Renaissance Day is custom-designed for your needs. In most cases, it includes:
- A preliminary telephone interview to establish the goals for your Renaissance Day
- A full day of one-on-one coaching with Michael J. Gelb
- A delicious lunch and refreshments throughout the day
- A 60 minute follow-up telephone coaching session after your Renaissance Day
What’s not included:
Renaissance Day participants are responsible for their own travel, lodging and meals, (except lunch). We will happily recommend great places to stay and dine in the “City Different.”
What can I expect during my Renaissance Day?
You will spend a day in an atmosphere of inspiration, creativity, fun and security. The day will help you clarify your goals and craft an inspiring plan to achieve them, but in a way that is relatively effortless and very enjoyable.
The day usually begins at 8:30 AM or 9 AM and concludes at 4:30 PM or 5 PM. (The schedule can be adjusted according to your needs.) We’ll enjoy a working lunch and short breaks as needed during the day. Your day will contain some or all of the following: Vision-mapping and creative thinking exercises, visualization and guided imagery, strategic planning and goal setting, personal training in centering and relaxation techniques, and plenty of constructive dialogue.
When weather permits, we sometimes spend part of the day hiking together on one of the magnificent high desert trails nearby. At the end of your day, you may return to your hotel for relaxation, incubation, and perhaps an evening meal at one of the many superb restaurants in Santa Fe.
We will also provide you with recommendations for massages, fitness activities and other healing treatments. (We are friends with many extraordinary resources here in The Land of Enchantment.)
Where is The Renaissance Day™ held?
The Renaissance Day™ takes place at the home of Michael J. Gelb in Santa Fe, one of the most beautiful, inspiring and healing spots in the world. If possible, plan a few extra days in Santa Fe before or after your session to soak in the exquisite natural beauty and tranquility. The combination of a Renaissance Day and a few days of high desert R & R makes a world of difference.
Do I need special preparation?
Once you’ve committed to your Renaissance Day, all you have to do is schedule a date and make your travel and lodging arrangements.
We will then schedule the preparatory interview, (usually about 45-60 minutes on the telephone).
Where will I stay when I come for my Renaissance Day?
There are many wonderful hotels and inns here in Santa Fe. We have relationships with some of the best, (at all price ranges), and will gladly make recommendations for the ones we feel will best suit you and the experience you seek.
How do I pay?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your day. Full payment is due 10 days before the session. We take Visa/MC, PayPal, or checks. Please contact Michael for fee information.
In what other ways can I benefit from my Renaissance Day?
We will identify additional resources who can help you achieve your goals and introduce you as required. We have an extensive network of superb coaches, therapists, financial planners, attorneys, and healers to whom we will be delighted to introduce you.
What types of people sign up for Vision Days?
People who come to Renaissance Day want more for their lives, and they understand the value of investing in themselves. All are leaders, whether of a company, a business, a team, their family or their own life. Some are in major transitions – from divorce, illness, retirement, job or career change, death in the family – and find Renaissance Day helpful in reorienting themselves. Others just feel the need for some extra inspiration and guidance.
What is the origin of the Renaissance Day concept?
The Renaissance Day™ concept is inspired by the work of my dear friends, Master Coaches Rob Berkeley and Debbie Phillips. Rob and Debbie pioneered this wonderful model for helping clients realize their dreams.
How often should I schedule a Renaissance Day?
Once a year seems to be the ideal timing for most clients.
It is also common for one member of a partnership, (business or personal), to enjoy a Renaissance Day and then return shortly afterwards with their partner for a shared Renaissance Day which allows them to coordinate their plans and create a shared vision for the relationship.
If The Renaissance Day™ sounds like it’s right for you then please contact Michael.
Special thanks to Rob Berkeley and Debbie Phillips for their generous support in the creation of The Renaissance Day Program.
