We just adopted a beautiful eight week old female Akita puppy. After months of research, we found a wonderful breeder, Christina Stanley – Moonlight Akitas, who truly loves and nurtures her animals.

Her entire litter of 9 puppies was, however, already committed. Then, last Friday, we got a call saying that one of the prospective owners dropped out.

At the first opportunity, we jumped in the car and drove to Albuquerque to meet the breeder, the mother and 4 of her pups. As the time passed we felt a deepening energetic bond with one of the little sweethearts.

We liked her curiosita’ and vivacious personality, so we brought her home. Her name is Lotus.

Life is filled with many joys and blessings but there’s something extra special about being with a puppy. Despite a few difficult nights and a number of accidents, this little fluff ball has brought a new dimension of love to our lives.
